If you’d like to store your Momentum samples and kits on an external drive, follow these steps:
1. Locate Your Files:
Go to: [Users]/Documents/Big Fish Audio/Momentum
Copy the entire Big Fish Audio folder (not just the Momentum subfolder).
2. Copy to External Drive:
Place the Big Fish Audio folder onto your external hard drive in your desired location.
3. Update Folder Location in Momentum:
- Open Momentum (plugin or standalone).
- Click the user/account icon in the bottom-left corner and select Settings from the pop-up menu.
- In Settings, change the Momentum Folder Location to point to the Big Fish Audio folder on your external drive.
4. Restart Momentum:
If your browser inside Momentum does not refresh automatically, reboot the application.
5. Delete the Original (Optional):
After confirming that your samples and kits are loading correctly from the new location, you can delete the original Big Fish Audio folder in Documents.
Tip: Keep a backup of the original folder for a while, just in case.
